Setting Audio Options
To set audio options: Select Options->Preference menu item and click Audio tab.
-
Device: Select a sound card as the device for sound recording. Some system has more than one
sound card installed.
-
Recording Format: The recording format is the format your sound card uses to record your voice
from the sound card. The main attributes are samples per second (measured in kHz), mono/stereo
input, and bits per sample (usually 8 or 16 bit). Larger values for samples per second and
bits per sample result in higher recording quality, but also create a larger movie file size.
If you choose to compress the final audio data, the recording format is determined by the
compressed format; if you don't want to compress the audio data, you should select PCM as the
compressed format and Screen Movie Studio will choose
the PCM format you selected as the recording format. If you change your compressed format, the
recording format also changes automatically.
-
Compressed Format: The compressed format is the format that is saved with your movie
file.
-
Default: Left Screen Movie Studio choose a
default compressed format for you.
